When kitchens become exhibits and works of art in a space:
LEICHT presents “Rosso Lepanto”
at the Museo Poldi Pezzoli
Milan Design Week 2026, LEICHT
Under the title “Art is now”, a space is created that deliberately sets itself apart from the hustle and bustle of the city, providing a setting for a focused exploration of kitchen design, fine materials and extravagant planning.
The colour scheme and design language draw on the building and its cultural context, creating a distinct spatial presence that blends into the overall artistic vision.
The kitchen as a space for connection, gathering and a new way of living.
The generously sized bar top adds a social dimension to the island block and creates a seamless transition between functionality and relaxation. Visitors are invited to stay a while and engage in conversation. This results in a spatial arrangement in which the kitchen is experienced not only as a workspace, but as a defining feature of the home.
The Rosso Lepanto marble
The Rosso Lepanto marble highlights the island block with its deep red surface and delicate veining, creating a rich visual effect that shifts subtly with the light and gives the space a distinctive character.
Also known as Rosso Levanto, this marble originates from Liguria, near Levanto and the Cinque Terre.
Formed within the region’s rugged coastal geology, its dense red stone is marked by fine white and greenish veins created through mineral deposits and tectonic activity. Long valued in architecture and interior design, Rosso Levanto has traditionally been used in prestigious spaces for its dramatic and expressive appearance.
